Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar, a British American artist and a sitarist is best known for her songs. She's the smallest woman and was the first person to be awarded the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Sitar Shankar, one of the Indian young sitar artist. She is the student and child of Ravi Shankar. Born in London and grew up in New Delhi, she spent the first few years of her life traveling between London as well as New Delhi. When she was 13 she performed her debut performance in New Delhi. After moving to Encinitas, California in 1999, she was awarded the high-school degree. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman nevertheless, she has an amazing career in singing and recording. She has been performing with her father on stage for many years. She made Anourag her first album solo in 1998. She released Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year later. Bapi the Love of My Live, a biographical picture dedicating to her dad Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. In 2003, she appeared as the role of a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shankar is an English born singer who travelled her early days between London, Delhi and California. She began learning music when she was nine years old and played the sitar to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the birth of her father in Delhi four years later.
