Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received many international and national distinctions. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and research concerning children as victims within the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
